Jane, Kat, and Sutton’s lives are chock-full of low-stakes drama, but so much of what they take for granted—running in Central Park without a mask on, hooking up with a stranger, simply throwing your arms around your best friends for a celebratory jump-hug after a promotion—now feels distinctly anachronistic. I hope we get back there someday, but as many people have pointed out, we’re likely never going “back to normal”; not in big cities, anyway. For now, maybe the What doesn’t kill You gives You XP shirt and I will buy this best we can do is watch our formerly “normal” lives play out on TV.

This morning, the What doesn’t kill You gives You XP shirt and I will buy this NFL’s Washington Redskins organization announced that it will change its name and logo. The decision follows years of pressure from the Indigenous community, who have denounced the name and logo as racist. (The term redskin is a racial slur, and the logo features an image of a dark-skinned man with feathers in his hair.) The decision comes just a few days after the 87-year-old team announced it was conducting a “thorough review” of its name. “That review has begun in earnest,” read a statement from the team, released this morning. “As part of this process, we want to keep our sponsors, fans, and community apprised of our thinking as we go forward. Today, we are announcing we will be retiring the Redskins name and logo upon completion of this review.”
